When finished - try these movie related words,  there´s a quiz for #1 and you could for instance make you own sentences containing some of the words in #2 and #3 and e-mail me;

Lesson 2
This lesson we'll practise reading comprehension. To understand what you read is as important as to understand what you hear. Try these two;

Reading comprehension #1 and some movie related words (questions found on the bottom of the document)

Practise further - try this, and this and this!

Week 10

Grade eight

I expect all of you to hand in your assignment on Of Mice and Men ASAP. Since we will be working on improving your communication skills for quite a few weeks now this is first on today's programme.
Further, for all your writing I think you might find parts of this useful

After you've got OK from me on your Of Mice and Men assignment - start working on the subtitles project.
  • Read this in order to find out what I want you to do
  • Because you all have iPads adding subtitles is not easy - so what you need to do is to transcribe what they are saying in a text file and then translate that to English in the same document - like I´ve shown here (yes - I want that word list)
  • If you have access to a computer the by far easiest method to add subtitles is to get a Youtube channel and to do it there

Take a look at "How to describe people using English" found on Showbie, week 3.
Think for a minute about how you would describe three people in your family.  When I tell you to - work in pairs taking turns describing the people you've chosen. After a couple of minutes you will get a new speaking partner (randomly chosen) doing the same and so on........
